Luther Edwin Hadl, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Westwood Manor. He was born on October 23, 1922, the son of Stephen and Goldie (Eubanks) Hadl in Melvern, Kansas.
Mr. Hadl was a US Army Veteran that served during WWII and an active participant in the Omaha Beach invasion. He was an auto mechanic working for Ray's Auto Service on SW 6th Street for many years.
Luther married Agnes Blackburn on September 13, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2007.
Mr. Hadl is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Larry) Leiker and one grandson, Donovan, all of St. Peters, Missouri. Assisting Mr. Hadl in his last years were his loyal caretaker, Arlene Looker, as well as Richard Rodriguez, Ken McEvoy and niece, Shirley Gorman.
Private inurnment will take place in the Scranton Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
