Lucille H. Johnson, 88, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Aldersgate Village.
Lucille was born July 3, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of John L. and Maude Belle (Marshall) Hersh.
She owned and operated Pink and Pine Salon and worked for Pelletiers and LaPetite Salons, retiring in 1999. She later worked in security at Martin Creek Place.
Survivors include daughter, Tamra Blake and husband Gene, Topeka; sons, Jon Mareska, Topeka, Charles "Chip" Mareska and wife Deb, Emporia; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Franklin, Topeka, Florence Schoener, Wisconsin; and brother, George Hersh and wife Marge, Topeka. She was preceded in death by grandsons, Jon Marty Blake and Darrin Blake.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Lucille will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
