Lucille E. Schmidt

Lucille E. Schmidt, 85, of Topeka, formerly of Rogers, AR, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Atria Hearthstone. She was born on October 27, 1920 in Baileyville, the daughter of William and Clementine Mueller Koch. She graduated from Centralia High School. She lived in Centralia before moving to Emporia. She moved to Rogers, AR in 1974 where she had resided until moving to Topeka in October of 2005. Lucille married Wilbur E. Schmidt on August 12, 1939 in Seneca. They were divorced. Survivors include one daughter, Norma J. Milner and her husband, Alvin, two grandchildren, Lisa A. Clarke and her husband, Martin, Marc A. Milner, one great-grandchild, Adam N. Milner all of Topeka, one brother, Earl Koch and his wife, Cora of Fairview, three sisters, Mary Bulkley and her husband, Tom, Maxine Gudenkauf and Frances Engelken all of Topeka and three sisters-in-law, Birdeen Koch, Mary Koch and Mary Jane Koch all of Sabetha. Lucille was preceded in death by one infant daughter, her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place in Rogers, AR. No memorial services are planned. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
