Lucille B. Price, 95, of Topeka, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
She was born in Horton, KS on March 4, 1920, the daughter of John W. and Margaret (Waddell) Brock. She moved to Topeka in 1922 attending school at Lowman Hill, Boswell, and graduated from Topeka High. She attended Washburn University where she a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
She worked at her father's appliance store on Kansas Avenue before raising her family and then worked as an accountant at Blue Cross Blue Shield retiring after 11 years of service. She was a long time member of Grace Episcopal Cathedral.
Lucille married Harlan R. Price on January 23, 1943 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2003. She was also preceded by two brothers, Carl and Kenneth Brock, and a sister, Theresa B. Allan. Survivors include her two sons, Byron Price and wife Maribeth of Lenexa, KS and Craig H. Price, and wife Rebecca of Ellicott City, MD; two grandchildren, Meredith Provost (and husband Adam) and Cara Price; and two great-grandchildren, Gwyneth and Andrew Provost.
A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Grace Episcopal Cathedral, 701 SW 8th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Lucille will lie in state from 4:00 p.m., Monday, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Episcopal Cathedral.
