Lucille Ames

Lucille Eleanor Ames, 94, of Topeka, passed away at a local care center on Friday, December 24, 2004.

Mrs. Ames was born January 22, 1910 in Perth, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Martha Thompson Stover.

She was married to Alpha H. Ames Sr. in Caldwell, Kansas on November 25, 1936. He died in October, 1993.

Mrs. Ames was a member of Central Congregational Church, and the Optimist Club of Topeka. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and caring for family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Al Ames of Milan, OH; two grandchildren, Heather Brooks, Topeka, and Michael Ames, Phoenix, AZ. and three great grandhcildren, Sean, Olivia and Joseph Brooks.

Graveside Services will be held, Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Penwell-Gabels Memorial Park Cemetery.
