Lucille A. Gettig Halley, 85, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at a Rossville care facility. She was born on November 24, 1920 in Topeka, the daughter of Fred W. and Velvia Bond Chincholl. She graduated from Topeka High School. She resided in California and Missouri before returning to Topeka where she spent most of her life. Lucille was employed by the Menninger Foundation for several years before retiring. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church . Survivors include one son, George Gettig of Crystal Lake, IL, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Norma June Ogle of Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Halley, one brother, Fred Chincholl, Jr. and one grandson, Matthew Gettig. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Lucille will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First Assembly of God Church, 500 S.W. 27th St., Topeka, KS.
