Lowell Bryant, 85, of Topeka, formerly of Perry, passed away, Monday, March 3, 2008.
He was born January 5, 1923 in Norton, KS the son of Elmer and Alice Bryant.
Lowell operated the Skelly Station and Auto Electric both in Norton, KS. He moved to Perry in 1968 where he worked for Standard Oil and the COOP as a fuel truck driver until his retirement.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Lions Club, the Perry City Council, and was active with the Good Samaritan Fund fund raisers after moving to AldersgateVillage. He was also a member of the Rossville Christian Church.
Lowell was married to Helen Engelhardt 40 years. She preceded him in death. To this union were born three daughters, Connie, Debbie and LoAnn. He later was married to Alberta Sieh 12 years. She also preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Bryant, Topeka; Connie Zajac and her husband Stan, Voluntown, CT; two step sons, Robert Sieh and his wife Vickie, Rossville; Kenneth Sieh, Meriden; 5 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister Mildred Rous of Salina and his daughter LoAnn soon after her birth.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Wesley Hall at AldersgateVillage. Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund at AldersgateVillage or to Rossville Christian Church.
