Louise Bishop, 87, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010.
She was born February 24, 1923 in Cleo Springs, OK, the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Davis) Hedrick. She was a graduate of Cleo Springs High School and attended Washburn University.
She retired as an insurance underwriter for American States Insurance Company.
She was a member of Oakland Christian Church and a former member of the Wheat Hearts Square Dance Club.
Louise married John C. Hooper. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1963. She later married Dale Bishop. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1995. Survivors include their children, Carol (Vern) Wheeler, Topeka, Marcia Kemper, Topeka, Kathy McGonnell, Winfield, KS, Connie (Jim) McBee, Topeka, Cheryl Bishop, Topeka and Dennis (Gladys) Bishop, Rock Creek, KS; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Rosa Mae Hood, Pond Creek, OK and Vernon (Carol) Hedrick, Peck, KS. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Patterson.
Funeral ceremonies will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
