Louis "Glenn" Smith

87, passed away October 15, 2003 at Midland Hospice House. He was born August 16, 1916 in Wichita, KS the son of Fred and Elsie Graves Smith. Glenn graduated from Caldwell High School and attended Wichita University. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Engineers.Glenn was employed by the City of Wichita as a fireman retiring in 1972. In Topkea he was a counsler for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse at St. Francis Hospital, for 12 years.

Glenn was a member of Riverside Christian Church, Bester G. Brown Masonic Lodge #433 AF &AM, . 33rd Scottish Rite, Wichita, and Beulah Chapter OES #34 , Topeka.

He was married to Madge Furnish September 4, 1940 she survives:

Survivors include: Daughter Sharon Kay Church Topeka, KS

Two grandchildren: Chad Church Edwards, CO
Kelley Bontempo Eagle, CO

four great grandchildren

Cremation is planned. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday,
October 17, 2003 at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606. On-line condolences may be made at www.penwellgabel.com
