Lorraine E. Dittmer, 87, Topeka, passed away Tues., Aug. 19, 2008, at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1921, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Mabel and Edward Herrle.
Lorraine married Samuel Dittmer on May 24, 1941. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1991.
Lorraine is survived by three sons, Garold and his wife, Teresa; Curt, and Jim and Yvonne; one brother and three sisters; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel W. Dittmer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Sat., Aug. 23, 2008, at Mater Dei Assumption Church, 210 SW 8th St. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Lorraine will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Fri., at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. followed by a visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lorraine Dittmer to the Capper Foundation, 3500 SW 10th, Topeka, 66604.
