Lorraine Bibb, 90, Topeka, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009 at Lexington Park Nursing Center.
She was born March 16, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of Otis and Ferol Howard McClenny. She graduated from Topeka High School and was a lifelong resident of Topeka.
Lorraine worked for Crosby Brothers Department Store and Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage.
She was a 55 year member of Countryside United Methodist Church.
She married Owen Bibb on October 11, 1943 at East Topeka Methodist Church in Topeka. He died April 1, 1999.
She is survived by her son, Frank V. Bibb of Topeka.
Following Lorraine's wishes, no public funeral service will be held. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Cremation will follow. Private inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
