Loretta Rahmeier

Loretta Ann Rahmeier, 58, of Topeka passed away April 25, 2004 at her home.

She was born June 21, 1945 in Topeka, the daughter of Edward F. and Anna M. Chelson Rahmeier. She graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University. She lived in Topeka all her life.

Miss Rahmeier worked for Security Benefit Life Group for 33 years before retiring in 2001. She worked for the Kansas Legislature last legislative session. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, W.N.L. Dorcas Circle at church, and served as a volunteer for funeral dinners. She was a member of the SBG Retirees Group, the Norton Neighborhood Assn., Love To Have Fun card group, served as treasurer for the Topeka Turn Around Team, and served as a volunteer for the Treasures of the Czars.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lyle Rahmeier. Survivors include her brother, Donald Rahmeier and wife, Beverly of Columbus, KS, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.

Miss Rahmeier will lie in state after 10 am Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 pm. The casket will remain closed.
