Lorene F. Wood, 79, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, April 20, 2004.
She was born May 22, 1924 in Carroll County, MS the daughter of Gibb and Clara Bell (Day) Farrish.
She was a longtime employee at the Colmery-O'Neil V.A. Hospital, Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland Blair Wood, her son Cleveland Blair Wood, Jr., and her daughter Barbara Lynn Wood.
She is survived by, her daughter and son in law, Beverly and Jim Rakowitz, San Antonio, TX; her son, Russell P. Wood, Topeka; her grandson, Stephen B. Wood, Seattle, WA.
Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2004 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
