Lorene Irene Dorman passed away February 18, 2015, at her home at Legend Capitol Ridge in Topeka, KS. Lorene was born April 3, 1920, in Clifton, KS, to Adelbert and Myda Belle Loyd. She grew up in Clifton and graduated from Clifton HS in 1938. She attended Stewart School of Cosmetology in Topeka and worked as a beautician until her marriage November 28, 1940, to her high school sweetheart Claude D. Dorman. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She served as a Sunday School teacher and pianist, and a Girl Scout Leader for her daughters.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband Claude, and son-in-law, Melvin Shottenkirk.
She is survived by daughters, Sheryl Shottenkirk of Bellevue, NE, and Brenda Jagodzinske (Glenn) of Topeka, grandchildren, Roy Shottenkirk, Debra Hudson, Dana Hardy and Scott Jagodzinske, ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
