Lorena Isom

Lorena Mae Isom, 92, Topeka, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka. She was born in Anselmo, NE, the daughter of Robert Marion and Mary Belle (Null) Powell.
Mrs. Isom had lived In Kansas City, MO with her husband Albert before moving to Topeka in 1959. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Lorena had many interests, and had worked in an aircraft factory during WWII to help with the war effort. She was a very active homemaker loving her family and her families loved her. Lorena especially enjoyed bingo, dancing and dining at I-Hop.
Mrs. Isom is survived by; her children Patricia Johnston, Janice Ramos, and Brian Isom, all of Topeka. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and her sister Betty of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, two children; Donald and Midge, plus her brothers and sisters.
Graveside services for Mrs. Isom will be held at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, December 28, 2012. The family will greet friends at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the graveside service.
