Lorena Hedrick

Lorena (Hildebrandt) Hedrick, 79, Topeka, died Friday, June 6. She was born on January 29, 1929 in Lincoln County near Vesper, Kansas. She married Frank Hedrick on Aug. 27, 1949 in Ellsworth. Lorena was an active member of First Baptist Church where she had many roles in the Children's Department and White Cross. She enjoyed children, quilting, board games and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; son Jim (LeeAnn), Dubuque, IA; daughter Frances (Ernest) Bauer, Davisburg, MI; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her sister Selma Panzer, Ellsworth; and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka 66608.
Family will greet friends on Monday, June 9 from 6 - 8 PM at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 10 at First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar Avenue, Topeka.
