Lona May "Terry" Hafling, 99, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born in Abilene, Kansas on June 2, 1923 to Iva and Oscar Erich. She was married to Elmer Hafling for 49 years. He preceded her in death in 1997. They lived in numerous places throughout the Midwest and Southwest as Elmer worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. She lived in Topeka for 53 years.
Terry was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Topeka.
Survivors include her sister, Shirley Borglund of Topeka; a son, Michael (Karen) Hafling of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; and seven grandchildren.
Private services were held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arab Temple, 1305 Kansas Avenue, Topeka KS 66612.
