Lois Gaye Trimble, 73, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at a local hospital.
Gaye was born February 24, 1935 in Lecompton, the daughter of Gilbert and Marguerite (Kelch) Moon.
Gaye had been a cosmetologist in the Topeka area for 51 years and had been the owner of Gayle's Beauty Salon since 1973.
Gaye married Kenneth Gayle Trimble on August 11, 1958. He died in 1994. Survivors include a son, Brad Trimble, Overbrook; daughters, Debra Thornton, Germantown, MD, Beverly Trimble, Topeka; and grandchildren, Wren Thornton, Iain Trimble, Kellsey Trimble; great granddaughter, Faith Collins; three sisters and a brother. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Thornton.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
