Lois L. Stewart, 92, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born July 4, 1913 in Boliver, MO, the daughter of Marion A. and Mattie May Blevins Broomfield.
After graduating from high school, she attended business college and went to work as a stenographer for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring after 13 and a half years.
She married Earl C. Stewart on May 15, 1953 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in November, 1975. She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Patricia Bean, Savannah, GA and Marcella Bratton, Sun City, AZ; one nephew, Cecil Broomfield, Illinois; four step granddaughters, Marilyn Breight and Beverly Crume, both of Topeka; Ellen Gabrielson, Savannah, GA, Tina Sinclair, Pueblo, CO; four step grandsons, , Robert Breight, Louisburg, Kansas, Douglas Bratton, Pueblo, CO, Thomas and Richard Bean, Savannah, GA, and numerous great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November, 14 at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
