Lois Ann Druyvesteyn

Lois Ann Druyvesteyn, 71, of Olathe, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at an Olathe care facility. She was born July 27, 1940 in Americus, the daughter of Edward and Frances D. Hayt Shirley. Lois was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant for a Hospice in Arkansas. She was of the Baptist faith.

Lois married Eldon Wayne Merry in 1959. They were divorced. She married Rufus Williamson in 1974. He preceded her in death. She married Humpty Druyvesteyn in 2000. He preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lelia J. Merry. Survivors include one daughter, Linda J. VanDivner of Overland Park, one son, Leland W. Merry of Fort Smith, AK, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one brother, Norman D. Shirley of Missouri, and three sisters, Dorothy Shirley Tracey of Denver, CO, Lola M. Shirley Miller of Topeka, and Patricia Jean Shirley Moss of California.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
