Lisa G. Peterson, 57, Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at a local hospital.
Lisa was born February 9, 1959 in Topeka, the daughter of Dale and Betty (Camp) Bohnenblust. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1977.
She was employed in Food Services with USD-501 for many years, retiring in 2015 for health reasons. She had worked at Capital Federal in customer services for 16 years.
Lisa married Charles "Chuck" Peterson on May 6, 1989 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include daughter, Megan Peterson; granddaughter, Avery Peterson; brother, Greg Bohnenblust, all of Topeka; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, C.A.T. Association or Meals on Wheels.
The family asks that everyone attending wear an item that is pink.
