Linnie Norsworthy

Linnie Ann Norsworthy, 65, passed away Saturday, April 5, at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born September 26, 1942 in Kansas City, MO, to Clyde and Kathryn (Woodley) Hicks.

On February 14, 1976, she married Stephen E. Norsworthy at First Christian Church in Topeka. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1998. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas after working in the Public Relations Department. She was a member and past president of Kansas Press Women, Sigma Kappa Sorority at Emporia State University, on the board of directors at Exodus Ministries, and volunteer at Christian Neighborhood Center.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Clasen of Belton, MO, and Eric Norsworthy of Las Vegas, NV; three daughters, Kathy Schwar of Scottsdale, AZ, Annette Friery of Kennesaw, GA, and Shari Hendrickson of Olathe; one brother Ernie Hicks of Olathe; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Penwell-Gable Mid Town Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
