Linda S. Kinnett, 71, Topeka, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021.
She was born August 11, 1950, in Ironton, Missouri, the daughter of Bascom and Veda (Sitzes) Revelle.
Linda graduated from Fredericktown High School in Missouri. She earned a B.M.E. from Southeast Missouri State University in 1972 and her Master of Theology degree in 2004 from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri after which she was accepted into the deaconess program at Concordia Theology Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was a member of and served her deaconess internship at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, receiving a call to serve in the position full-time in 2006. In 2018 she retired from full-time work, and in her retirement she continued to teach Women's Bible Study.
On May 18, 2014, she married Clayton Kinnett at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He survives. Other survivors include two children, Elizabeth Strickland and Ben Cosgrove; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two siblings and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 9 am until service time at the church. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
