Lillian Wege

Lillian Ruth Dicks Wege, 73, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at Midland Hospice House.

She was born December 4, 1928 at Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Griffith George and Grace M. (Fisher) Humphreys.

Mrs. Wege had been employed at Hallmark Cards in Emporia and Topeka until her retirement.

She attended Stormont-Vail Diabetes Support Group.

She was married to Albert M. Dicks August 3, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1979. She married Orville Wege in 1983. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Derek Denzler August 26, 1988. Survivors include:
one daughter, Sharon Shobney Delia, KS
two brothers, Elmer Humphreys Emporia, KS
William "Bill" Humphreys Overland Park, KS
three sisters, Esther Smith Haysville, KS
Virginia Crouch Emporia, KS
Elsie Cleveland Haysville, KS
two grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one great grandson and eleven step great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wege will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2002 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with graveside services to follow at 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.
