Lillian F. Landberg, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Brewster Place. She was born in Topeka, the daughter of Clinton and Anne Heitman Trosper. Lillian graduated from Topeka High School and attended Strickler's Business College and Washburn University.
In her early career, she did secretarial work and for the remainder of her working life, she did administrative work for the U.S. Social Security Administration for many years prior to her retirement.
Lillian married Eugene G. Landberg, who was stationed in Topeka during WWII, on October 7, 1944. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the United States. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1982.
After her husband passed away, Lillian traveled abroad, including parts of Russia, Continental Europe, Egypt, Alaska and Hawaii. In 1988, she sold her home located on S.W. 10th St. in Topeka and moved to Brewster Place, where she resided for the rest of her life. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. She left the bulk of her estate to several charities and the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library.
Lillian requested no public services. Private entombment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is charge of arrangements.
