Lida Shaw

Lida L. Shaw, 71, Topeka, passed away Monday, November 12, 2007. She was born March 7, 1936, the daughter of Albert and Maxine (Lanning) Markley Griffith.

She graduated from Howard High School in 1954.

Lida married Clyde D. Bateman of Howard, KS in 1953. They divorced in 1959. She was preceded in death by a 1 y.o. daughter, Debra M. Bateman.

Lida married William T. Shaw on Sept. 14, 1959 in Miami, OK.

Lida worked as an ER Nurse Tech for Stormont-Vail Hospital for 13 years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter Lida "LeAnn" (Christopher) Hubbell and granddaughter, Isabella Hubbell, Topeka.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum, 3616 SW 6th St.
