Letha I. Fox, 81, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Letha was born March 18, 1929 in Netawaka, Kansas; daughter of Walter and Golden (Burke) Larson. She attended school in Holton and graduated from Wamego High School and Stewart's Beauty Academy, Clay Center.
Letha was united in marriage to Edward K. Fox on January 16, 1949 in Wamego. They loved to spend time dancing and traveling. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and past secretary of Topeka Women's Bowling Association. Letha was an avid bowler, traveling to state and national tournaments. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends, oil painting, cross-stitching and knitting.
Letha is survived by her two children, Steven (Linda) Fox, Berryton; and Linda Larson-Fox, Topeka; two grandchildren, Todd and Barry Fox, Topeka; and great-grandson, Cody Fox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wayne Larson, sister, Barbara Campbell and husband, Ed.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka 66604. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka. Letha will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Diabetes Association, 837 S.
