Leta Campbell, 86, Topeka, died Monday, July 22, 2002 at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. Campbell worked many years for the Washburn Rural school district food services before she retired. She was born August 6, 1915 on a farm near Howard, Kansas, the daughter of Benjamin Alvis and Myrtle Florence Heisler Cox. Mrs. Campbell was a member of First Baptist Church and the Altrusa Class. She also taught the Men's Bible Class.
She married Don Thomas Campbell on June 15, 1935. He died July 27, 1966. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Rodell, Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Donna Cogswell, Topeka; six grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
