Leslie Philip "Les" Dodd, 64, of Topeka, passed away February 2, 2014, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born November 13, 1949, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Leslie Harold and Edith Ellen Netherland Dodd.
On August 25, 1973, in Topeka, he married Mary "Jane" Weishaar. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Cassandra (husband Sam) Muff, Erika (Jason) Cundiff, and Christy (Stewart) Swearingen; and grandchildren, Kenna, Zack, Callie, Logan, Leslie, Margaret, and Clara. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathryn Mitzen; and step-mother, Rose Marie Dodd.
He was retired from Del Monte and was passionate about woodworking.
Mr. Dodd was cremated. Memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014, at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 2014 NW 46th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66618. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
