Leroy Kahler
LeRoy Kahler, 94 of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at St. Francis Health Center. He was born on July 18, 1915 in Topeka, KS to George and Anna (Beyer) Kahler.
On October 24, 1975 he married Marguerite Kahler. Mr. Kahler was a farmer. He was a member of Berryton United Methodist Church.
Mr. Kahler is survived by his wife, Marguerite of the home; daughters, Elisie Cromika of Cadiz, OH; and Mary Evelyn Bump of Wichita, KS; son, Delbert Kahler of Topeka; sister Anna Marie Morehead of Dover, KS; brother, Leon Kahler of Topeka, KS; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son Larrie Herschell.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home Memorial contributions may be made to Berryton United Methodist Church, 7010 SE Berryton Rd, Berryton, KS 66409.
