Leone V. Bauer, 88, Topeka, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at her home.
She was born Dec. 14, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Valina Rogowski Burik and had lived in Topeka since 1954.
Leone was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Lt. Col. Charles A. Bauer, USAF ret. in 1978. Survivors include her son, Howard Bauer and wife, Joanne of Osage City; her daughter, Carol Baldry and husband, Bill of Topeka; three grandchildren, Eric Bauer and wife, Brenda, Jon Bauer and wife, Michelle, and Jennifer Adams and husband, Jesse; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel with interment in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
