Leonard Dana Robinson, 49, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
He was born September 28, 1972, in Irvine, California, the son of Rick Robinson and Hollis (Hern) McCartney. He graduate from Topeka West High School and after high school enlisted with the United States Navy serving on the USS John F. Kennedy.
He was very active with youth sports, recently being honored with the State of the Community Award by Shawnee County Commissioner, Kevin Cook
He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Petty-Robinson; three children, Richie Robinson, Alexis Robinson, and Lenny Robinson, Jr.; three step-children, Tony, Cole and Maya; his parents, Hollis McCartney and her husband, Gary Burton and Rick Robinson; two brothers, Todd Alan Robinson and his wife, Lara, and Clayton Hern McCartney and his wife, Rosalind; and numerous extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 10th & Lane, Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shawnee County Parks & Rec Youth Sports or Ken Berry Baseball & Softball Leagues in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604.
