Leola Latta, 82, of Topeka, passed away July 17, 2012, at Aldersgate Village. She was born March 5, 1930, in Fair Grove, MO, the daughter of Sidney and Edna Jones Harmon. On March 31, 1948, in Iola, KS, Leola married Ernest Latta. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2011.
Survivors include sons, Joel, Brad, and Dan Latta; daughter, Jan Prophet; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Topeka and Chapter DN P.E.O.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 817 SW Harrison St., Topeka, KS 66612, or Chapter DN P.E.O. c/o Connie Adams, 424 SW Woodlawn Ave., Topeka, KS 66606, or a charity of the donor's choice.
