Lee Roy Howard, 84, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at a local hospital.
Lee was born July 14, 1921 in Stroud, Ok the son of Lee and Emma Powers Howard.
He served in the United States Army during WWII.
Lee worked for J. C. Nichols in the maintenance department for 30 years, retiring in 1978.
Lee married Emma L. Powers on May 10, 1944. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Survivors include two daughters; Sandra S. Howard, Topeka and Rebecca Ann Howard, New Hampshire and two sons; Lee Roy Howard, Jr, Topeka and Richard Lee Howard, Des Moines, IA; and a sister: Sarah Franc, Colorado Springs, CO.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 30, 2005 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
