Leanna Raine, 45, Topeka, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Leanna was born May 30, 1963 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Hamilton) Ritchie. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1981, from Washburn University in 1985 with a degree in Psychology and later earned her Nursing degree. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
She was employed at Presbyterian Manor, and previously worked at Rolling Hills Health Center and Aldersgate Village.
Survivors include a son, Kyle Dean Raine; mother, Shirley Ritchie, both of Topeka; brother, David (Peggy) Ritchie, Valparaiso, IN; and companion, Mark Uhlrig, Topeka. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Leanna will lie in state at the funeral home after noon on Sunday and visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
