Lawrence Schmidt, 75, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016.
He was born September 15, 1940, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the son of Peter and Rosetta (Rich) Schmidt . He attended Okmulgee High School

Lawrence was employed by the Ball Corporation for 22 years, retiring in 1984
.
Lawrence was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading the Bible. In his younger years he enjoyed camping, fishing and home improvement projects.
Lawrence married Billie DeLong on June 24, 1961 at Beggs, OK. She survives. Others survivors include a son, Peter L Schmidt and wife Carolyn of Topeka, daughters Lana Schmidt of Morris, OK and Gloria Jean "Jeannie" Archuleta and husband Michael of Sisters, OR; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, Sisters, Florence Hodge and Lilly Fry and many nieces and nephews.
