Lawrence L. Mastin, Jr., of Atchison, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
He was born March 20, 1947 in Atchison, the son of Lawrence L. and Mary Evelyn Mastin.
Lawrence graduated from Maur Hill Prep School in Atchison and attended the University of Kansas and Baker University School of Nursing.
He worked at the Menninger Foundation for many years as a child care worker. He was also a volunteer for VISTA(Volunteers In Service To America).
Lawrence married Mary Grabauskas in 1979. They later divorced.
He is survived by a daughter, Romy Mastin of Topeka; three grandchildren, Kasheena Snowhawk (Josh) of Topeka, Adrienne and Amber Boyd of Grand Prairie, TX; two great grandchildren, Khalil and Jordan and a sister, Bonnie Stockton.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel & Cemetery with burial to follow at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
