LaWanda Doris "Wanda" Andrews
Wanda Andrews passed away on October 30, 2014, at her Silver Lake home with her family by her side. She was born May11, 1928, in North Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Doris and Grundy Brown.
Wanda worked for the Health Department in Independence, Missouri, Armco Steel in Topeka and retired from IBM in Kansas City, Missouri. Wanda volunteered at Stormont-Vail and was part of the Auxiliary.
She was married to Jack G. Andrews, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son: Tom Arney (Karen); grandchildren: Chris Arney and Kali Arney; stepson: Mike Andrews (Shelley); stepdaughter: Terry Basham; and four step-grandchildren.
Wanda will lie-in-rest after 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2014, Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW Tenth Avenue, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Committal services will be at 1:30 PM, Friday, at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
