Lauretta L. Carmain, 89, Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2006.
Lauretta was born June 14, 1916 in Barnes, the daughter of Lewis L. and Mary Madison Goodman. She was raised in rural Washington County and graduated from Barnes Rural High School.
She worked in the accounting department, machine bureau of AT&SF Railroad, retiring after 35 years of service.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Lauretta married Lyle Carmain in 1943. He died in 1959.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister and 5 brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June12, 2006 at Trent Plaza at Aldersgate Village. Private family inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
