Laura Gail Terry, 79, passed away on December 30, 2017 at Rolling Hills Health Center, Topeka. Born June 24, 1938, she was the daughter of Goodlet and Anna (Fairbanks) Bonjour.
She graduated from Centralia High School.
Laura married James Robert Terry on February 23, 1958. There were four children born from this relationship. They were later divorced.
She worked as a Medical Aide in several different nursing homes during her life. She helped her husband with his roofing and construction business, cleaned houses and worked several different retail jobs.
Laura was a member of the Beulah Diamonds, Rebekah Lodge in Wamego and Central Presbyterian Church. She served as Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and all the grand children's activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, two sisters; Judy DeVere and Rosie Bell and a daughter, Ginger Flower.
Laura is survived by a son, Keith Terry and two daughters; Nancy Tilton and Robin (Mike) Jones, all of Highland, KS. She had eight grandkids; Teresa Ridout, Mike Jones, Jesse Flower, Heather (Terry) Yuill, Caicey (Jones) Martinez, Crystie (Flower) Bloomer, Brandon Terry and Ashley Tilton, and 17 great-grandchildren.
At her request, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2017 at the Highland Community Center, 501 West Ave. Highland, KS.
