Larry G. Kroth, 77, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at his home.
Larry was born October 8, 1937, in Soldier, KS, to Walter Evan and Mabel Ester (Gibson) Kroth. He graduated in 1955 from Holton High School. Larry served in the US Navy for four years and retired from BNSF after 40 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel (Holland) Kroth; two daughters, Lisa (Mike) Phillips and Lezlee (David) Jones, both of Topeka; three grandchildren, Jared (Becky) Phillips, and Kylie and Allie Jones; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Hailey Phillips; sister, Marvel (Gary) Clarke, of Wichita; sister and brother-in-law, Hattie Miller and Meredith Holland, of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. An inurnment will take place at Buck's Grove Cemetery, Havensville, KS.
