Kristin R.Holm Ely
Kristin R. Holm Ely, 34, of Lecompton, formerly of Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was a previous resident of Little Elm, TX.
She was born October 5, 1975 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Randy and Andrea (Bertrand) Holm. She was a 1994 graduate of Topeka West High School and 2000 graduate of Washburn University, Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Business Administration. She was employed by H&R Block. She was a volunteer for the ASPCA in Frisco, TX.
She married Tim Ely, Jr. on August 7, 1999. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Kaitlyn and Eric Ely; her parents, Randy (Becky) Holm, Lecompton, KS, Andrea (Don) Sage, Topeka; a brother, Philip Holm, Topeka; maternal grandparents, Lafe and Anita Bertrand, Clay Center, KS; several aunts, uncles, cousins and step-siblings. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Norma Holm of Topeka.
Honoring her request, Mrs. Ely was cremated. Memorial ceremonies will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Private inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kristin Ely Children's Trust Fund, sent in care of CoreFirst Bank, 3035 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66611, ASPCA, or your local humane society.
