Kristi K. Stratton passed away December 31, 2017 at the young age of 54. Kristi fought a long and very courageous illness battle. Kristi was born May 14, 1963 in Topeka Kansas.
Kristi grew up in Meriden, Kansas where she attended Jefferson West High School, and meet many of her life long friends. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1981. Later in 1983 she met and married Donald Klamm and they were married for 12 years. Together they welcomed their daughter Elizabeth.
Kristi enjoyed doing several things, but above all she loved cooking and reading recipes. Once she was introduced to Pinterest it's all she ever wanted to do. She loved trying new recipes and finding crafty ideas. She even had several "boards" dedicated to separate categories of recipe ideas.
Kristi had a heart of straight gold. She would do anything for you if you asked. There was more than one occasion where she would take food out of her own pantry to make sure someone else didn't go without.
Kristi and Elizabeth had a very special bond. More than just the regular mother daughter type bond. They were each other's best friends, and could tell each other anything. When she found out that she was going to be a grandmother she was so excited. She wanted to be called "Nana". Devin was the light of her life she would always say look at my handsome grandson. She was so proud.
There really aren't enough words to begin to explain how dear Kristi was to everyone and how full of life she truly was.
Kristi is preceded in death by her father, Francis Stratton; and her step-father Gerald Magnuson; several grandparents; aunts; and uncles. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Boykins (D'Ante); her mother, Ruth Magnuson; her sister, Kathy Dunkin; nephew Matthew Dunkin; niece Sara Beam (Aaron); her first grandson Devin Boykins; great nephew Declan Beam; and 2 cousins Annette Conners-Harris (Jim), and Mike Conners (Janice).
