Kim Christine Smith

Kim Christine Smith, 58, of North Canton, OH passed away peacefully in her sleep February 9, 2016 after an 8-year battle with breast cancer.
Kim was born November 14, 1957 in Topeka to Donald R. Heptig and Peggy Simons Heptig. She attended Kansas University and graduated from Washburn University.
Her passions included cross stitching, Kansas Jayhawk basketball, her dogs, politics, home décor and her close relationships with all her family and friends. Her great faith in God guided her through life and her battle with cancer which she handled with grace and dignity and was an inspiration to all who came in contact with her.
Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Penwell Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 with a memorial service to follow at 3:00.
In lieu of flowers, Kim would ask that donations may be made in her name to The V Foundation, Pet Finder, St. Jude or the Aultman Foundation.
