Kevin Robert McCarthy, 46, Topeka, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at his home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1961 in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Edmond Robert and Marguerite Ann McCarthy. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in civil engineering.
He was currently employed at Midland Contractors, Inc.
Survivors include a son, Christopher McCarthy and three step-children; Richard Edwards, Jessica Detler, and Allen Grimmett and a step-grand child Arianna Detler; Kevin's parents, Edmond and Marguerite McCarthy; two brothers, Edmond McCarthy and Dennis McCarthy; two sisters, Rita Benefield and Cathy Bormann.
Cremation is planned. No public services will be held. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family. In lue of flowers Memorials can be made out to Christopher McCarthy care of Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
