Kent B. Wilson , 75, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2005 at a Topeka hospital. He was born on May 2, 1930 in Torrington, WY, the son of Elmer and Leah Worrall Wilson. He was an Air Force veteran. Kent was an accountant for Kansas Neurological Institute and then the budget manager for the State of Kansas Highway Patrol Department where he retired in 1993. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and a coordinator for Doorstep. Kent married Dorothy L. Emery on March 23, 1952 in Big Springs. She surives. Other suriviors include two daughters, Gail Culp and her husband, David of Topeka, Carla Stroman and her husband, Craig of Williamsburg, two sons, Kent Wilson and his wife, Stephanie of Bonner Springs, Graydon Wilson and his wife, Dara of Overland Park, twelve grandchildren and two sisters, Sally Boydston and Carol Simpkins of Big Springs. He was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery at Big Springs. Kent will lie in state after Noon Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday evening.
