Kenneth E. Glasson, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2006. He was born on May 12, 1927 in Hartshorne, OK, the son of Dennis and Bessie Sylvia Robinson Glasson. Kenneth was a Navy veteran of WWII and then served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 38 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of Siloam Masonic Lodge No. 225 AF&AM and Countryside United Methodist Church. Kenneth married Elva M. Coleman on July 26, 1953 in Laclede, KS. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Susan Elizabeth Hamilton of Topeka, Jason Edward Glasson and wife, Patricia of Topeka, one granddaughter, Emma Kate Hamilton, and one sister, Wanda Watkins of Bakersfield, CA. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where military honors will be presented by a burial detail from Fort Riley, KS. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
