Kenneth Chapman

Kenneth Dean Chapman, 50, of Topeka, passed away at his home on Thursday , February 3, 2005.

Kenny was born July 4, 1954, in Topeka, the son of Richard and Mildred Lake Chapman. He was a graduate of Washburn Rural High School in1972.

He was employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 25 years. He was active in Ken Berry Baseball League and Sunflower Soccer. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Kenny was married to Connie Jean Thrasher on February 9, 1974. She survives. Other survivors include two sons: Dustin Chapman ,Topeka, Kyle Chapman, Lawrence and a daughter, Erin Chapman, Lawrence. Mother: Mildred Toburen and her husband, Virgil, Carbondale; Three sisters: Brenda Carey, Topeka; Julie Turner, Baileyville; Diana Ganger, Carbondale; and one brother: Marc Chapman, Cummings, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Mr. Chapman will lie in state after 4:00 P.M. on Friday and visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Friday.
