Kenneth N. Bossler, 82, Topeka, passed away January 23, 2008. He was born April 4, 1925, in Topeka, the son of Alice and John Bossler. He attended Boswell Junior High School and was a 1943 graduate of Topeka High School. After serving in the Army during World War II. He received a Bachelors Degree from Washburn University. In 1951 he married Jacqueline Seaman. Professionally, Ken began his career with The Securities Acceptance Corporation as a loan officer. He joined Fidelity State Bank & Trust Company on May 21, 1962 as Assistant Vice President and as a consumer loan officer. He advanced to Vice President then to Senior Vice President and the officer in charge of installment loan dealer relations. Mr. Bossler then became a director in the bank, and following his retirement on May 1, 1990. He remained a Director at Fidelity State Bank for a period of time. Ken was an early member of Topekas 20-30 Club. He, his wife and son were long time members of Shawnee Country Club, where he enjoyed many years of friends and golf. Ken was a world wide traveler. He visited Europe several times, Australia and New Zealand. He had a special affinity for the Continent of Africa which he visited 5 times during the last 30 years of his life. In 1980 he climbed to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. He promoted his love of Africa through many civic appearances. Ken was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church in Topeka, where Memorial contributions may be made. He was preceeded in death by his brother, Keith V. Bossler of Topeka. He is survived by his son, Stan Bossler of Dallas, Texas and sister-in-law, Bette Bossler of Topeka, a niece and her family: Ann, Dave, and Paul Carnahan of Wamego, Kansas, as well as Ann and Daves daughter and son-in-law: Amy and Marcos Lerma of Kansas City. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Topekas Faith Lutheran Church, located at 1716 S.W. Gage Blvd. Kenneth N. Bossler
