Kenneth A. Bowen, 47, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
He was born December 13, 1966 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the son of Richard Lee and Cheryl Ann (McNeely) Bowen. He was a graduate of Washburn Rural High School.
Ken was employed by Custom Tree Care, Inc. of Topeka.
Ken married Teresa K. James on June 19, 1993 in Logansport, IN. She survives. Other survivors include his three children, David James, Chris (Amanda) Fisher, Jonathan Fisher, all of Topeka; 10 grandchildren, Leanna James, Serenity Rhodes, Clayton Fisher, Jordon Fisher, Brooklyn Fisher, Triston Fisher, Elizabeth Fisher, Braxton Fisher, Katrina Fisher and Davelyn James; his mother, Cheryl (Steve) Schwanz, Topeka; his father, Richard Lee Bowen, Lakeville, IN; and a brother, Richard Scott Bowen, Topeka.
A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Ken will lie in state after 3 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
